Creating the Blog

We chose ten topics in our first group meeting and each wrote a blurb on each topic for the following week. From there we narrowed the topics down to five and assigned one to each person. Of the topics we chose, we either had a personal interest in or wanted to cover it more thoroughly than we had covered in class. We used the paragraphs to figure out what each group member thought was important for each topic and as a way to give structure to our own posts. We then each wrote a post for the blog and commented on each others' posts. Finally, we opened up the blog to our fellow classmates in hopes of continuing our conversations and in creating an open forum. The conversation format of a blog enabled us to discuss topics without meeting very frequently. Instead we communicated through e-mail.
